You’ll find employment opportunities in the health care, education, retail, and hospitality industries right in Battle Lake, just to name a few.   Additional job openings can be found in both Fergus Falls and Perham.  These Cities are within 20 minutes of Battle Lake.   If you want to drive just a little further, Alexandria and Detroit Lakes have additional employment opportunities. 

There are several employers right here in Henning looking for quality employees.  A few of those are the Public School, Tri County Medical Clinic, Master Composites, Jennie-O Turkey Store, Golden Living Nursing Home and Willow Creek Senior Living Center.  Many larger cities within a 45 mile radius of Henning also offer business and work opportunities, allowing you to commute a short distance while enjoying a lower cost of living and a greater sense of community.

You don’t have to go very far to access hundreds of jobs that are here or just a short driving distance from Ottertail.  Two major employers in our city are Carr’s Tree Service and Thumper Pond Resort and Golf Course. A most recent study shows that 86% of the people who live and work in Ottertail commute to jobs including to Ottertail with a drive time of 30 minutes or less.
