Battle Lake
Battle Lake is a quaint community with a beautifully constructed downtown area, nestled on the edge of West Battle Lake. Public art projects enhance the beauty of the quaint shops and unique restaurants running up and down Lake Ave. Battle Lake is known for a wide variety of eating establishments from fast food to fine dining and anywhere in between. Jump on a bike and take a spin to Glendalough State Park. The Glendalough Trail is a 12-mile paved trail that runs from the City and throughout the park. With an award winning, progressive school, a number of families choose Battle Lake as a place to raise their children. We have a fully-staffed police department, volunteer fire & rescue and a number of medical clinics available to those in need. It’s small town living at its finest!
Henning
The City of Henning is a small town with a big sense of community. Whether it’s a fund raiser for a new facility, or a neighbor in need of assistance, residents in the area show up to help out. With a wide range of healthcare services such as a medical clinic, physical therapy clinic, chiropractic clinic, optometrist, eye care center, dentist and pharmacy, most of your medical needs can be met without having to travel far. You’ll feel safe in our community with our fully staffed police and fire department and ambulance service. The City also owns a Senior Living Facility with 16 assisted living homes and 12 independent living homes. Our close proximity to additional services, retail businesses and restaurants make it a great place to live.
Ottertail
Ottertail City has it all! You can start out your morning grabbing a roll at the bakery “with the best buns in town”, do some shopping at unique boutiques, grab some lunch at an amazing café, do a little fishing in one of the 5 lakes you can find right in the city, or make a tee time at an 18 hole 5 star golf course and end your day dining or sitting by the lake watching the gorgeous sunsets. Ottertail has two medical clinics, a great playground located next to our fire services/community center building. Churches, gas stations, banking and much, much more. You can hop into your car and within 15 minutes you can have access to more, besides all this, and no need to drive any further.
